Northland Youth Theatre

Northland Youth Theatre is a not-for-profit charitable trust set up to provide training for the young people of Northland in theatre craft. We deliver our training across a range of disciplines to young people from age 6 to 25 years.
We are proud to be the oldest Youth Theatre Company in New Zealand. Northland Youth Theatre has worked with many talented young people in this time and created a vast amount of theatre.
Currently we offer Drama classes every week during term time and the occasional school holiday programme. As well as our classes we provide performance opportunities,  ranging from fully produced and staged devised and/or scripted work and participation in, and development of public events throughout the year.

Musical Theatre Kids - MTK

The MTK program goes beyond teaching performance techniques; they focus on instilling essential life skills like confidence, self-discipline, teamwork, and mutual support. With experienced instructors and a warm, encouraging environment, they help young performers build stage presence, develop their voices, and grow their love for the arts. Musical Theatre Kids is more than just a
place to learn—it’s a community where every child is celebrated, encouraged, and inspired to shine.
